STEAMED Up is a long-term, process-driven partnership program that works with the same group of students over a 12-month period. The program enriches children’s and teachers’ wellbeing and educational needs by building meaningful creative projects with participating students.
The program combines STEM disciplines together with Arts, Creativity, Enterprise/Entrepreneurship, and design (STEAMED) to deliver impactful learning outcomes for students and their teachers and combines this with the seven critical skillsets for success in future workplaces.
In 2025, Barking Gecko Arts will partner with Newman Primary School to co-design a strategic Partnership Plan and build 4 multi-artform residencies. The program targets specific Social and Emotional Wellbeing factors, STEM, curriculum, and professional development areas for school staff.
